Salaam and hello dear sisters, my name is Maz. I've had hijama done on myself for years and I know first-hand the benefits of it, So I decided to learn the art myself so I can treat my nearest and dearest. I regularly perform hijama on myself too (on the areas I can reach!).
Alhamdulilah I am happy to able to treat the sisters of London!
What is hijama or cupping? Hijama is simply the arabic word for cupping. There are 2 main types of cupping: wet and dry.
Special plastic cups are placed on the skin and the air is pumped out to create vaccuum suction, This may faciliate pain relief, increased blood flow to the area and for toxins to be drawn out from nearby tissue. This may feel similar to a deep tissue massage.
Same as dry cupping but taken to the next level. Small scratches are made with a sterile blade (new each time) on the surface of the skin to allow the toxins to exit the body. You may also feel any negative energy and pain leave your body as well.
